課程概述

In level 3, the focus is on acquiring smaller amounts of frequent grammatical structures, on reviewing and expanding structures already learned and on all four languages skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Free speech, sophisticated listening comprehension, reading longer texts and the development of essay writing are the main foci of the course. The course will prepare students to pass an internationally recognized exam (Zertifikat Deutsch).

Therefore, the course will also familiarize students with the format and requirements of this exam.

Listening comprehension will be especially trained with German videos (e.g. Kubus) and TV films (Lola rennt)

The teaching method relates to the communicative language teaching approach, which means that the pragmatic usage of the foreign language in a relevant and modern setting is taught. This approach does not only include giving oral presentations but also includes training of academic writing in the foreign language.

All five active and passive language skills are taught: Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening, and Translating.

The course will be taught in mostly in German according to the rules of enlightened bilingualism with frequent comparison between the English and German language in order to work with positive and negative inferences.

課程要求
- Student must have language competencies at level A2-2 according to CERF
- Regular homework and occasional presentations are required
